A proposal to revive California’s indoor worker heat protection rule likely won’t be finished in time for the summer because of the process required, employer-side attorneys said.
California Division of Occupational Safety and Health Deputy Chief for Standards Eric Berg said Thursday that the agency is planning to propose a revised rule that removes the state prison system from having to comply with the indoor heat standard. Cal/OSHA would later issue a separate rule for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
