An Illinois federal court granted Lowe’s Home Centers summary judgment on the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and state law racial harassment and discrimination claims of a Black sales specialist allegedly called a liar, a thief, and an ethnic slur by a White coworker, where the specialist couldn’t demonstrate that he suffered harassment severe and pervasive enough to alter his employment, the slur was an isolated incident, and he didn’t show the alleged insults affected his work performance.
