Washington DC notified a federal court of its plan to drop a suit against the Trump administration challenging an order attempting to federalize the police force in the nation’s capital.
Because US Attorney General Pam Bondi rescinded the order the same day the suit was filed in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, and President Donald Trump’s right to assert control over the city expired Sept. 10, the District filed its notice of voluntary dismissal Thursday.
