The European Commission adopted a framework Wednesday to help member countries support industrial decarbonization and non-fossil fuel energy and technology through the Clean Industrial Deal.
The pact aims to improve the EU’s industrial competitiveness while reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. It’s part of a plan the commission announced in February, along with the Action Plan on Affordable Energy, to lower energy taxes and bills and replace fossil fuel use with electrification.
