Two influential senators are renewing efforts to tighten requirements for businesses hiring workers through the H-1B visa program.
The H-1B and L-1 Visa Reform Act from Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) would impose new wage and recruitment standards for employers using the programs. The bill would also require that job openings employers want to fill with H-1B workers be posted on a public Department of Labor website.
