NYC Bar Nominates Ex-Cardozo Dean Matthew Diller as Next Head

The New York City Bar Association has nominated Fordham Law School dean emeritus Matthew Diller to be its next president.

Diller, who also served as dean of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, would succeed current President Muhammad U. Faridi if elected during the city bar’s annual meeting on May 19. The bar president serves a two-year term.

“The mission of the Association has never been more important than it is today,” said Diller, who is the first law school dean or professor to be nominated as the bar’s president since the 1990s.
