Trump Labor Department Weighs Killing Biden’s ESG 401(k) Rule

Trump administration officials are considering whether to rescind a Biden-era eco-friendly 401(k) investing regulation twice upheld by a conservative-leaning federal district court judge in Texas.

The US Labor Department raised rescission of the rule for the first time in a Monday motion for abeyance in an appeal filed by more than two dozen Republican state attorneys general that have been challenging the regulation since 2023.
