Verizon Retailer Released From Appeal in Disability Bias Suit

Cellular Connection LLC, which sells Verizon products at retail, won’t face a former regional manager’s appeal from an adverse ruling in his disability discrimination case.

Joshua Pennell and Cellular agreed to drop the suit in which he claimed the employer refused to accommodate his clinical depression and fired him. They didn’t give a reason for doing so, but a Feb. 6 notation on the district court docket notes that they reached a settlement. The US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit dismissed the case Friday.
