BGOV OnPoint: Must-Pass Defense Policy Bill Set for First Votes

Work on the annual defense authorization bill is ramping up this month with key committees on both sides of Capitol Hill planning to advance their respective measures in the coming days.

The House Armed Services Committee is set to meet on June 4 to mark up its fiscal 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, while the Senate Armed Services Committee is planning a closed-door markup the following week.
