General Dynamics Cleared to Perform $325 Million CDC Contract

General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. can keep performing a $325 million health support contract for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the GAO said in a decision released Thursday.

Protester Karna LLC raised several unsuccessful challenges to the award, including arguments that the agency conducted unequal discussions with the companies and failed to reasonably assess their past performance, the Government Accountability Office said.

The contract requires administering the World Trade Center Health Program to provide medical monitoring and treatment for people suffering adverse health conditions resulting from responding to September 11.
