Prosecutors can move forward with claims that an Iowa pharmacy and its owner improperly used funds from a Covid-19 pandemic relief program while also violating controlled substances rules, a federal district court said.
The government adequately alleged Rashid Pharmacy PLC and owner Joseph G. Rashid violated the False Claims Act by misusing loans the US Small Business Administration issued under the Paycheck Protection Program, Judge Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger of the US District Court for the Southern District of Iowa said.
