NASA Knocks Out Breach Claims in Movie Making Contract Dispute

Big Easy Studios LLC failed to show that NASA breached a contract to make “big-budget Hollywood movies” at the agency’s Michoud Assembly Facility in Louisiana, the US Court of Federal Claims said.

Big Easy isn’t entitled to $2.4 million because the parties never reached a long-term agreement to supersede a short-term agreement the parties signed in 2012, Judge Ryan T. Holte said in an opinion granting the government’s motion for partial summary judgment.

Holte’s ruling didn’t cover a claim alleging the breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing. The parties must file a report by June 12 ...
