Open Technology Prevails in Dispute With US Media Agency (1)

Open Technology Fund demonstrated that the US Agency for Global Media unlawfully terminated the nonprofit organization’s grant funding, a federal judge said Thursday.

The agency’s withholding of funds violates the Administrative Procedure Act, Judge Royce C. Lamberth of the US District Court for the District of Columbia said in an order granting OTF’s motion for summary judgment.

The agency must comply with appropriations and grant agreements which require OTF to receive $43.5 million, the court said.
