Thomson Reuters Says Trump, Musk Misstate Nature of DoD Deal (1)

Thomson Reuters Corp. said President Donald Trump and Elon Musk are mischaracterizing the work the company has done for the US Defense Department.

Musk, who leads Trump’s department of government efficiency, this week called out a contract the Pentagon had with a unit of the company that helps businesses and government protect against cyberattacks.

“Reuters was paid millions of dollars by the US government for ‘large scale social deception,’” Musk posted on his X social media site. “That is literally what it says on the purchase order! They’re a total scam.”
