Trump Threatens to Cut Ties With RTX in Row Over Weapons Output

President Donald Trump threatened to stop doing business with defense contractor RTX Corp. unless the maker of Patriot missile systems invests more in its production capabilities in a sign of mounting frustrations with the industry.

In social media post, Trump said the company has been “the most aggressive spending on their Shareholders rather than the needs and demands of the United States Military.” Raytheon, the name of RTX’s defense unit that in 2020 combined with United Technologies’ commercial aerospace businesses, will “no longer be doing business with Department of War” unless it “steps up” with more upfront spending on ...
