UK Billing Company Reaches Settlement in Medicare Fraud Suit

The federal government reached a settlement agreement with a UK and India-based billing company in a False Claims Act suit alleging improper billing for genetic laboratory tests.

The government’s suit alleging Medicare fraud against AIMA Business and Medical Support LLC, a business-process outsourcing company, is administratively closed, Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said in a Tuesday order. The parties filed Monday a notice of settlement with the court.
