VA Reasonably Axed Joerns From $260 Million Beds Procurement

Joerns Healthcare LLC failed to show the US Department of Veterans Affairs improperly eliminated its bid for a contract under a $260 million maximum value procurement for hospital beds and accessories.

The department reasonably determined that Joerns’ proposed beds didn’t satisfy size requirements included in the request for proposals, US Government Accountability Office said in a decision released Friday.

A proposal that doesn’t conform to material terms and conditions in a solicitation is considered unacceptable, the GAO said.
