The IRS has issued a news release announcing that the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic Program will accept applications for LITC matching grants from qualified organizations during a two-month application period. Applications will be accepted from May 6 to July 6, with the grant period of performance running from Jan. 1, 2027, through Dec. 31, 2027, and special consideration will be given to applications from underserved areas including Hawaii, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Applicants may request up to $200,000 for the 2027 grant year and must provide matching funds equal to the IRS award amount. [IR-2026-64, 05/06/26]
