Canada’s provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island will each raise their hourly minimum wages Oct. 1, their governments said.
Manitoba’s hourly minimum wage will increase to C$16.40 (US$11.85) Oct. 1, from C$16, its government said April 1. Minimum wages for construction workers in the province were previously scheduled to increase May 1 and again on May 1, 2027.
Ontario’s hourly minimum wage will increase to C$17.95 Oct. 1, up from C$17.60, its government said April 1.
