BAT Legal Chief Abelman Is Stepping Down, McCrory Stepping Up

British American Tobacco PLC said Thursday that general counsel Jerome Abelman would step down Dec. 31 after 23 years with the company.

Paul McCrory, an 18-year BAT veteran who currently serves as director of corporate and regulatory affairs, will assume the role of legal director and general counsel, effective Jan. 1

Kingsley Wheaton is being appointed chief corporate officer and will assume responsibility for corporate and regulatory affairs on Oct. 1.
