House Republicans Inch Toward Tax, Spending Bill Vote
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is chipping away at internal GOP opposition to a sweeping reconciliation bill as he pushes to pass the legislation out of the House as early as today.
Following a visit from President Donald Trump to a weekly closed-door House Republican conference meeting, holdouts from both ends of the GOP ideological spectrum suggested they were moving closer to voting yes on the bill, albeit withholding complete support of the legislation.
