KPMG Australia won’t bid for new government contracts for three months as the government reviews its internal practices, following allegations it inappropriately used confidential client information to win business.
The firm agreed with the Department of Finance’s request that KPMG will not bid for any new work between June 16 and Sept. 30, according to a government statement Monday. During this period, the department will commission an independent review of KPMG’s governance, culture, ethics and integrity frameworks, the spokesperson said.
