Portugal’s withholding tables for the Azores and Madeira were updated effective Oct. 1, as well as retroactively for the period from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, notices published in Portugal and Madeira’s gazettes said.
The Azores tables (Portuguese) are similar to those in effect for the mainland for the same periods, except that the lowest tax bracket ends at 914 euros (US$1,072.47) of monthly income instead of 870 euros and lower tax rates are used.
