SoFi CEO Says Regulatory Reforms Will Ease Way for New Products

SoFi Technologies Inc. Chief Executive Officer Anthony Noto said the Trump administration’s more business-friendly regulatory approach will allow the online bank to offer more products, potentially including secured lending off of cryptocurrency or an interest-bearing stablecoin.

“The early signs in the first 100 days is that it is a more favorable environment from a regulatory standpoint,” Noto said in an interview with Bloomberg Television Tuesday. “It does feel like the regulatory environment’s going to allow us to offer more products to our members that they need.”
