A woman who went blind in one eye after receiving an Allergan treatment had her product liability lawsuit against the pharmaceutical giant revived by the New Jersey Supreme Court in a Wednesday ruling strengthening differential diagnosis evidence.
The unanimous decision reversed an appellate ruling dismissing her case over the strength of her medical expert’s claims that an Allergan product—a tiny implant called Ozurdex that slowly releases eye medication—must have caused her blindness.
