CDC Vaccine Panel to Meet on Covid, Flu Shots After Postponement

A committee of scientific advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will meet in April to discuss the use of Covid-19, influenza, and other vaccines.

The Trump administration in February postponed a meeting by the panel, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which makes recommendations to the CDC on administering vaccines. That same month, the administration canceled a Food and Drug Administration vaccine advisory committee meeting.

ACIP’s upcoming meeting is scheduled for April 15 and will provide an update on the measles outbreak. The meeting will also feature discussions on mpox, RSV, HPV, and lyme disease vaccines. ...
