Senate Democratic leaders sent a series of questions to CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz over the launch of a Medicare Advantage provider directory tool they contend is riddled with erroneous information.
The letter sent Tuesday by Sens. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) seeks clarification on how the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services intends to prevent any harm to beneficiaries during open enrollment.
The letter follows a similar query last week by House lawmakers Richard Neal (D-Mass.) and Frank Pallone Jr. (D-N.J.), demanding that Medicare beneficiaries be held harmless for damages caused by the directory.
