A coalition of Louisiana health workers and patients wants a state court to permanently bar enforcement of a first-of-its kind law that went into effect earlier this month classifying abortion-inducing drugs as dangerous controlled substances.
The lawsuit was filed Thursday in the state district court for the East Baton Rouge Parish and led by the New Orleans-based Birthmark Doula Collective.
