A federal court rejected a pharmaceutical trade group’s call to block a Colorado law that dictates how manufacturers can supply federally discounted drugs to pharmacies in the state.
Judge Regina Rodriguez of the US District Court for the District of Colorado on Wednesday denied a request from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) to temporarily block Colorado’s 340B Contract Pharmacy Protection Act from going into effect while its lawsuit proceeds.
PhRMA claimed that federal law prevented Colorado from applying additional conditions on how drugmakers can distribute medications under the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.
