Lilly’s Suit Against Mounjaro Copies Advances in Second Attempt

A federal judge ruled Eli Lilly & Co. can proceed with its lawsuit against a business selling copycat versions of its obesity and diabetes drugs, allowing the company’s case to advance after filing an amended complaint against the compounder.

Lilly was able to prove that actions from Mochi Health Corp. harm the drugmaker’s business and the perception of its FDA-approved tirzepatide, Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley for the US District Court for the Northern District of California said in an order filed Monday.
