The Michigan Supreme Court announced Monday that it’s the 46th jurisdiction to approve the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam for aspiring lawyers and will start giving it in July 2028.
Michigan joins numerous other states—including Florida, Illinois, New York, Ohio, and Texas—that announced they’ll transition to the new test, which is being developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners.
