Paralegal Says Law Firm Fired Her After She Disclosed Pregnancy

Law firm Pollack, Pollack, Isaac & DeCicco LLP and its managing partner, Conrad Pollack, are facing a new federal lawsuit brought by a former paralegal at the firm who alleges discrimination, failure to accommodate, retaliation, and unlawful interference with employee benefits and protected leave.

Monika Madoriya’s complaint alleges that just four days after she disclosed her pregnancy to the firm on September 5, 2024, and requested maternity leave paperwork, she was abruptly terminated on September 9. It further claims the firm immediately canceled her health insurance benefits, forcing her to miss critical prenatal medical testing during her pregnancy.
