Republican Lawmakers Ask Justices to Block Abortion Pill Mailing

A coalition of Republican lawmakers urged the Supreme Court to block mailing of a widely-used abortion pill, calling postal distribution of the drug “illegal and also harmful.”

Republican senators Bill Cassidy, and John Thune along with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson are among the 113 members of Congress supporting Louisiana’s case to reverse the Food and Drug Administration’s decisions allowing mifepristone to be mailed.
