US Citizenship and Immigration Services will deny female transgender athletes’ petitions for visa categories reserved for those competing at the highest level of their sport, the agency said.
The policy update announced Monday carries out a January executive order by President Donald Trump that sought to block female transgender athletes from participation at all levels of girls’ and women’s sports.
