A major Maine family planning provider continues to face the Trump administration’s one-year hold on Medicaid reimbursements to certain abortion providers after a federal appeals court declined to pause the cuts.
Maine Family Planning, a network of 18 reproductive health-care clinics, has failed to adequately show that it’s likely to succeed on the merits of its argument that the provision targeting Planned Parenthood affiliates “is not a rational basis for a restriction on funding for family planning,” Chief Judge David J. Barron wrote in an order Thursday on behalf of the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
