One Point HR Solutions Resolves Employee Data Breach Class Suit

One Point HR Solutions no longer faces a class action on behalf of nearly 23,000 current and former employees who fell victim to a data breach after the parties agreed to the withdrawal of the case.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky previously said the negligence, breach of implied contract, and invasion of privacy claims of three named plaintiffs could survive the Kentucky-based staffing provider’s motion to dismiss. The plaintiffs said the breach compromised government ID numbers, usernames and passwords, and payment card info.
