National labor unions as well as a DACA recipient and an asylum seeker are challenging a Department of Transportation rule barring certain immigrants from receiving commercial driver’s licenses.
A petition filed Monday asks the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit to review an interim final rule issued by the agency Sept. 29 that barred asylum seekers, refugees, and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients from CDLs based on their immigration status, according to a press release.
