The US Supreme Court stayed an appeals court decision questioning the authority of a federal civil service board.
The order, signed by Chief Justice John Roberts, calls for a response by the parties involved by Dec. 10. It came shortly after the Trump administration filed a request for review Friday in which it called for summary judgment and reversal of a ruling from the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
