It’s rapidly getting easier for fraudsters to create fake videos that target companies, lawyers warned attendees at the Association of Corporate Counsel annual meeting in Philadelphia Tuesday.
“Hello there friends, Ronald Reagan here, or at least I think I am,” a video of a realistic-looking replication of the late president greeted panel attendees. “With all this deepfake business, it’s hard to be sure these days.”
The deepfake video was created to drive home the point that fake videos are getting increasingly easy to generate, posing a risk to corporate legal teams.
