Hartford Unit Sues Service Dog Trainer Over Consumer Litigation

A Hartford Insurance Group Inc. unit is suing a service dog training company over coverage for litigation alleging it sold service dogs that weren’t properly trained and for a related state investigation.

Insurance policies issued to Dog Sciences LLC don’t afford coverage for the underlying claims, Hartford Underwriters Insurance Co. said in a complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Washington.
