Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle pressed health insurance CEOs on soaring health care costs during high-profile hearings before two major House panels Thursday.

Five health insurance executives faced a range of questions on policies from the sprawling nature of health care corporations, to pharmacy benefit managers propping up prescription drug prices, to the current battle over extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits.
