France Delays G-7 Finance Meeting to Discuss US Tariff Threats

France has postponed the first meeting of Group of Seven finance officials under its presidency of the club, at which US President Donald Trump’s tariff threats were expected to be discussed.

French Finance Minister Roland Lescure had tried to organize a video conference with his peers on Wednesday. But an official from his office said the meeting has been pushed to next week due to scheduling constraints linked to the World Economic Forum in Davos and ministers’ agendas.
