Boeing Gets China Deal at Trump’s Visit, With Many Questions (2)

Boeing Co. secured its long-awaited order from China during US President Donald Trump’s visit to the country, but details on the accord reached remained nebulous on aircraft type and timing.

Rather than formally announcing an agreement — as is customary between the aircraft manufacturer and a customer — Trump said during a television interview appearance that China would buy 200 “big” aircraft.

Boeing on Friday evening confirmed Trump’s comments saying it had reached an “initial commitment” for 200 aircraft as part of the visit.
