U.S. Initiates Probe Into Aluminum Sheet Imports From 18 Nations

U.S. started antidumping or countervailing duty investigations of aluminum-sheet imports from countries including India, Germany, South Korea and Taiwan, according to a statement Tuesday from the Commerce Department.

  • In the AD investigations, Commerce will determine whether imports from 18 countries were “being dumped in the U.S. market at less than fair value”
    • Alleged dumping margins range from 12.5% to 151%, according to the statement
    • The countries targeted are Bahrain, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, South Korea, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey
