The companies said they settled their competing lawsuits and requested both be dismissed, according to Thursday filings submitted in the US District Court for the Northern District of California and the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. Apple and Headwater said each party will bear its own fees and costs.
Headwater sued Apple in September in Texas federal court, alleging the electronics company infringed US Patent Nos. 8,639,935; 9,232,403; and 9,491,564 by allowing mobile devices to receive push notifications.
