Apple Spars with China’s Oppo During Watch Trade Secrets Hearing

Apple Inc. exchanged fiery jabs with Chinese smartphone maker Oppo at a Tuesday court hearing about the tech giant’s bid to block an ex-Apple Watch team member from working at the competitor.

Apple has already been irreparably harmed by ex-employee Chen Shi, who’s accused of stealing confidential health-sensor technology and vowed to reveal the tech giant’s trade secrets before a presentation to 300 Oppo engineers, Leslie M. Schmidt of Kirkland & Ellis LLP told Judge Eumi K. Lee.
