BMW Wins Ban on Enforcing US Patents in Germany During Lawsuit

BMW AG convinced a Texas federal court to bar a company from enforcing its US patents in Germany during the automaker’s lawsuit seeking rulings of invalidity and noninfringement.

A temporary ban against nonpracticing entity Onesta IP LLC’s pursuit of an injunction in German federal court should extend for the duration of the US litigation, the US District Court for the Western District of Texas said.
