Ericsson Settles Suit Targeting Its 5G Sales to AT&T, Verizon

Pegasus Wireless Innovation LLC and Ericsson Inc. agreed to end a patent infringement suit over 5G network base stations used by the Swedish telecommunications company’s wireless carrier customers.

The settlement is limited to Pegasus allegations against Ericsson’s products used by T-Mobile USA Inc., AT&T Corp., and Verizon Wireless—whose corporate name is Cellco Partnership—and Ericsson’s counterclaims, according to joint motions to dismiss filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Pegasus and Ericsson said each party will bear its own costs and fees.
