Globus Says its Patent Win Over Life Spine Supported by Evidence

Globus Medical Inc. urged a Delaware federal court to reject Life Spine Inc.’s bid to overturn a $9.5 million spinal-implant patent verdict, arguing it rehashes arguments jurors already rejected.

The jury’s findings against Life Spine on infringement and patent marking were supported by substantial evidence and shouldn’t be overturned, Globus argued in a filing Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Life Spine last month urged Judge Colm F. Connolly to overrule the jury’s verdict and find it didn’t infringe US Patent No. 8,845,731.
