The estate of the late soul music icon Isaac Hayes ended its copyright lawsuit against President Donald Trump over using the song “Hold On, I’m Coming” at campaign events.
Hayes’ heirs voluntarily dropped the case Monday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, with parties bearing their own fees and costs. Other details regarding the agreement to dismiss the case with prejudice—so it can’t be refiled—weren’t immediately available.
